Every bell that leaves our shop has been inspected by hand. We stand behind that work completely.

Our Craftsmanship Guarantee

E.J. Willis has held an active U.S. Department of Defense specification since 1888. That standard doesn't stop at the military channel. Every bell — regardless of size or destination — is cast, machined, and finished to the same specification we supply to the U.S. Navy.

If a bell arrives and something isn't right, we will make it right. Contact us at returns@ejwillisco.com within 30 days of delivery and we will arrange a replacement at no cost to you.

This guarantee covers material and workmanship concerns discovered upon delivery. It does not cover normal patina development, surface variation inherent to sand-cast brass, or damage resulting from installation or use.

Standard Orders (Unengraved)

We accept exchanges on standard, unengraved bells within 14 days of delivery, subject to the following:

  • Bell must be unused and uninstalled
  • Original packaging preferred; bell must be securely packed for return transit
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
  • Exchanges only — we do not offer cash refunds on returned product

Custom Engraved Orders

All engraved orders are final. Once a bell has been engraved — vessel name, personal inscription, family crest, or any custom text — it cannot be returned or exchanged. Please review your engraving proof carefully before approving.

If your engraved bell arrives with an error on our part, we will re-engrave or replace it at no charge.

Shipping Damage

If your bell arrives damaged in transit, photograph the packaging and bell immediately and contact us within 5 business days of delivery. We will file the carrier claim and arrange a replacement. Do not discard the original packaging until the claim is resolved.

Military & Institutional Orders

Orders placed under a purchase order, DoD contract, or institutional quote are governed by the terms of that agreement. This retail policy does not apply to those transactions.
