Terms of Service
Effective date: June 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or placing an order through ejwillisco.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use this site. These terms apply to all visitors, customers, and others who access or use the site.
2. Who We Are
E.J. Willis Company is operated by Seavey Point Partners LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company. We manufacture and sell cast brass ship's bells and marine hardware. Our principal address is Six Liberty Square, Boston, MA 02109.
3. Orders & Pricing
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of pricing errors, product unavailability, or suspected misuse.
In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or system error, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund. We will notify you promptly if this occurs.
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. Sales tax will be applied where required by law.
4. Custom & Made-to-Order Products
Many of our products are made to order or custom engraved. By placing an order for a custom product, you acknowledge that production begins upon order confirmation and that cancellation may not be possible once work has commenced. Please review all custom specifications carefully before submitting your order.
Return and exchange terms for custom orders are governed by our Craftsmanship Guarantee & Return Policy.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this site — including text, photography, product descriptions, the E.J. Willis name and wordmark, bell patterns, specifications, and design elements — is the property of Seavey Point Partners LLC and is protected by applicable U.S. copyright, trademark, and trade dress law.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit any content from this site without our prior written consent. Unauthorized use of our marks, patterns, or product imagery is prohibited.
6. Provenance & Misrepresentation
E.J. Willis Company holds an active U.S. Department of Defense specification (DOD-B-24673) and supplies bells to U.S. Navy vessels. This designation is a matter of public record and is a core part of our brand identity.
You agree not to misrepresent the origin, provenance, or approval status of any bell purchased from E.J. Willis Company. Specifically, you may not represent any Willis bell as surplus military property, decommissioned naval equipment, or as having been previously installed aboard a U.S. military vessel unless that is demonstrably true. Violation of this provision constitutes a material breach of these terms.
7. Government & Institutional Orders
Orders placed under a U.S. government purchase order, DoD contract, or institutional procurement agreement are not governed by these retail Terms of Service. Those transactions are subject to the terms of the applicable contract or purchase order. Nothing in these Terms shall be construed to modify, supersede, or conflict with any obligation arising under a federal procurement instrument.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Seavey Point Partners LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site or purchase of our products, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or your purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
This site and its contents are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Our craftsmanship guarantee, as described in our Return Policy, is the sole product warranty we provide and supersedes any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose to the extent permitted by law.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Suffolk County, Massachusetts.
Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us in good faith at info@ejwillisco.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
